Thorned, evergreen tree that grows to around 3 meters high. It has glossy dark leaves, cream colored flowers and small green oval fruits, which are smaller than a lemon. The fruits are gathered when dark green rather than when ripe (yellow/green).
Therapeutic properties: Lime has anti-rheumatic, anticoagulant, anti-septic, anti-spasmodic and tonic properties.
Ayurveda medicine: Balances the Pitta Dosha, decreases the Kapha Dosha and increases the Vata Dosha.
