Lavender/Lavandula angustifolia

Lavender is a fragrant hardy shrub, with narrow leaves and grey-blue flowers. Although the fragrance can be found throughout the plant, the essential oil is only extracted from the flowering tops. 
Therapeutic properties: Lavender has analgesic, antidepressant, antiseptic, antispasmodic, carminative, cicatrisant, deodorant, detoxifying, diuretic, emmenagogue, insecticide, nervine, parasiticide, rubefacient, sedative, stimulant, sudorific, vermifuge and vulnerary properties.
Perfume Key Qualities: Uplifting, calming and refreshing.
Ayurveda medicine: Balances the Pitta Dosha, decrease the Kapha Dosha and have no effect on the Vata Dosha.
Soothes grief and promotes peace. Lavender balances all the energy centers and subtle bodies. It is one of the most important subtle energy oils. Useful in all energy healing techniques to relax and balances. Clears and cleanses a room and brings in positive energy.
