Helichrysum is an aromatic shrub with silver-grey lanceolate leaves and clusters of small bright-yellow flowers. When dried, the plant keeps its shape and the flower heads their yellow color, giving them the name everlasting. It grows to around 28 – 48 cm in height.
Therapeutic properties: Helichrysum has anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, antiseptic, carminative, expectorant, fungicidal, mucolytic and sedative properties.
Ayurveda Medicine: Balances the Vata, Pitta and Kapha dochas.
Perfume Key Qualities: Warming and relaxing.
This helps to dissolve energy blockages. It promotes compassion for one’s self. It helps to integrate compassion and spirituality. It activates the right side of the brain and assists in communicating psychic impressions. It helps in promoting understanding. Helichrysum promotes longevity in any situation. It is especially helpful for the “walking wounded”, those people who cannot reminisce for fear of the painful emotions that may be remembered. It is also helpful for those who feel that their physical self has lost touch with their soul.

Dilution of oil is always recommended. May cause skin irritation in some individuals and a skin test is recommended prior to use. Store into dark glass containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life. Do not use during pregnancy.
